About Alice

I suffered from CFS/ME for 3 years and then fully recovered through The MindBody Reconnect (MBR) coaching. I had fatigue, pain, migraines, heart palpitations and insomnia, amongst many other symptoms, which eventually resulted in me being signed off work and housebound. I was told by my doctor that there was no cure and I must learn to live with my symptoms. I was initially sceptical of mindbody approaches but not only did my symptoms completely improve but the MBR also empowered me with the tools to understand and respect myself, leading me to create a more fulfilled life with healthy relationships. This inspired me to train to become a qualified MBR Practitioner, to help guide others in their recovery, as well acting in training, supervision and administration roles within the organisation. I am continuously growing my knowledge and skills and have gone on to develop my own practice outside of the MBR. I am currently undergoing training in Mind Body Coaching with the Embody Lab to expand the role of politicised somatics in my work.

I have successfully guided people in their recovery from ME/CFS, Long Covid, fibromyalgia, IBS, anxiety, depression, insomnia and migraines, amongst other chronic conditions, using the mindbody approach.

I live in South West England with my partner, daughter and dog, and I savour every day of symptom free life doing things like growing veg, enjoying music, running, lino prints, seeing friends and going on adventures.

For a long time I didn’t think I would ever be well enough to have a child. It still blows my mind. I am endlessly grateful.

Before becoming a mindbody coach (and a mother) I spent years working on an organic vegetable farm as a grower, as well as running a gardening project for people struggling with their mental health. It was here that I trained in Social and Therapeutic Horticulture and as a Nature and Health facilitator.

Previous to that I was pretty much a full time activist- campaigning on issues such as environmental destruction, climate change and migrant justice.

As well as being a 1-1 coach I also run workshops on activist burn out and how to build resilience in a time of constant crisis.

I have years of experience supporting people with their wellbeing and I'm passionate about viewing health through a personal, social and political lens.
